Red Dry Regional Wine of Opountia Locris 

Type: Red, dry

Grape varieties: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Origin: Of selected vineyards of Opountia Locris.

Vinification - Maturation: Classic red vinification. It stays on the cellars of Domaine Hatzimichalis for 60 months, of which the 24 months in French oak barrels and 36 months in the bottle. A complex expression of Cabernet Sauvignon due to the 60 months’ shaping.

Alcoholic strength: 12,5% Vol

Ageing potential: Ready to drink, but it continues to evolve for the next 9-10 years. Due to its long stay in the bottle it may present precipitate. Decanting is recommended.

Tasting notes:Deep red colour with light hues of development. Attractive ‘bouquet’ where aromas of mature red fruits are combined with spicy notes, flavoured tobacco and hints of leather. Warm, round, with soft, noble tannins, aromatic complexity, good structure and long aftertaste.

Food pairing – Serving temperature: It accompanies red roast meat, BBQ, game and plateaus of crusty, intense cheese. Best served at 18 °C.
