Protected Geographical Indication (P.G.I.) Atalanti Valley
From 4,75 hectares of the selected single vineyard “Drisbay” at the Slopes of Knimis, part of the private owned vineyard of Domaine Hatzimichalis in the region of Locris, Central Greece. The average age of the vineyard is 12 years.
Vinification - Maturation:
Classic red vinification method under controlled conditions. It matures for 12 months in French oak barriques in order to acquire its bouquet and its full taste.
Enjoy it within 8 years after its harvest.
Tasting Notes:Deep red colour with violet hues. In the nose the aromas of ripe fruits and marmalade prevail, while in the background the most dominant ones are the discreet aromas of sweet spices and dried tomatoes. Strength, richness, warmth and generosity are the characteristics of a wonderfully balanced and structured wine. Complex, intense touch and long warm aftertaste with hints of black pepper.
Food pairing – Serving temperature:
Try it with juicy burgers, grilled steaks, barbequed ribs, spicy beef stew, cooked red meat dishes with truffles and crusty cheeses. Best served at 16-18ºC.
