Red Dry Regional Wine of Atalanti Valley
Vinification - Maturation:
The excellent adaptation of the noble variety Merlot in the microclimate of Atalanti Valley with careful cultivation tasks, very low yields, strict selection of the fruit combined with the 12 month maturation in new French oak barrels, contributed to the creation of this distinctive, award-winning wine of high standards.
Enjoy it now or keep it under appropriate conditions for the next 10-15 years.
Tasting notes:Deep, bright purple colour. In the nose, elegant aromas of cherries, blackberries and violet mingle nicely with delicate impressions of cinnamon, vanilla and toasted bread. The concentrated fruity character, the depth and the power in the mouth, as well as the supple tannins form an attractive wine with great personality and long lasting aftertaste. An expressive Merlot with sophisticated character.
Food pairing – Serving temperature:
Ideally suited to roasted duck, stuffed turkey, tenderloin with plums, small winged game, rooster cooked with wine and mature, soft cheeses are some excellent companions. Best served at 18˚C.
